- The Rue des Teinturiers canal is shallow enough to cross dry — locals dine under the plane trees there all summer.
- Halles covered market: every day except Monday, 6 AM – 1:30 PM. The fresh Provençal basket, 5 minutes on foot.
- Avignon Festival (July): book early. The neighborhood comes alive 24/7.
- The €1.40 bus + tram ticket (bought from the driver) covers the entire walled city and the TGV station.
- Île de la Barthelasse: 15 minutes on foot, bike rental at the foot of the bridge, nature and picnic tables.
